         <description><![CDATA[For the second consecutive Sunday, the Bucknell women's rowing team won a championship on the Cooper River. Just one week after capturing its third consecutive Patriot League title, the Bison captured the ECAC Metro Championship for the second straight year. Bucknell won both the overall points trophy as well as the NCAA points trophy by sweeping the three events in which it entered boats.<P>Bucknell won grand finals in the varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four. It won the NCAA points trophy based on the points it earned from those three events. The Bison also claimed the overall points trophy, which awarded points on novice finishes in addition to the varsity showings.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Just days after winning its third consecutive Patriot League title last weekend on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J., the Bucknell women's rowing team had a league-most four student-athletes earn positions on the All-Patriot League Team, announced Wednesday by the league office. Seniors Sophie Bird, Katherine Brewster-Duffy and Jennie Trayes, as well as junior coxswain Jeweliet Yost, were the four Bison honored.<P>All four of Bucknell's selections to the all-league team were members of the varsity eight that easily defeated second-place Navy, clinching the title for the Bison. Bucknell's boat, which has compiled a 7-1 record this season, defeated the Mids by nearly 15 seconds as it finished in 6:51.65. Navy timed in at 7:06.51.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[The Bucknell women's rowing team has accepted an invitation to the prestigious Eastern Sprints, which will be held on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J., on May 18. The 35-year-old Eastern Sprints is the annual rowing championship for the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) league.<P>The regatta features teams from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, including six of the top 20 teams in the nation, according to the latest CRCA/USRowing poll. A total of 18 teams will compete at the event, including all eight Ivy League schools.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[This past Sunday the Bucknell women's rowing program held the annual Erg Armageddon inside Davis Gym. Penn State, RIT, Susquehanna and the Bucknell men's rowing club-varsity team competed along with the Bison women's rowing squad. Bucknell alumni and Bucknell parents had their chance to compete in select events as well.<P>The Erg Armageddon, in its 12th year, featured openweight and lightweight races at the 2,000-meter distance as well as 500-meter dashes. The 1,000-meter events included mixed doubles, coxswains, master's and alumni. During racing, competitors and spectators were able to follow along by watching a large screen on the wall of Davis Gym, which showed a projection of each race.]]></description>
