Bryan Goodman, a 1996 graduate of Barat College, is in his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Bison basketball squad, making him one of the longest tenured assistants in the Patriot League.

Goodman works extensively with the offense, player development and recruiting. He assists in the area of university relations by working closely with other offices and contacts on campus, and he oversees the team's academic affairs program.

This summer, Goodman had the opportunity to work with Jay Wright's Team USA coaching staff at the World University Games in Izmir, Turkey. The American team won the tournament, and Goodman received a gold medal for his hard work.

Goodman, who also earned a master's degree in history from DePaul University, came to Bucknell following two seasons as an assistant at Susquehanna University, just a short drive south of Bucknell. His responsibilities there included recruiting, scouting, floor and game coaching and organizing the team's tape exchange.

Prior to his stint with the Crusaders, Goodman served as an assistant on the staff at Barat for two years. While at the Lake Forest, Ill., institution he was involved in all facets of the Bulldogs' program.

A native of Choctaw, Okla., he lettered four times as a point guard for Barat and led the team in assists and steals. He served as the team's captain as both a junior and senior, and was an Academic All-America selection in 1996.

Goodman is married to the former Amy Miller, a 1995 Bucknell graduate who works in the Office of Admissions. The couple resides in Lewisburg.
