Gave Bison fans an early taste of his talent with a great start to his rookie year, but it was short-lived thanks to a season-ending knee injury suffered in week four ... diminutive in size at 5'8", but features blazing speed and the ability to change direction ... former Alabama state 55-meter dash champion ... ideally suited for the slotback position in Bucknell's spread option offense ... also an excellent receiver out of the backfield ... did not participate in spring practice while continuing his injury rehab ... hoping to be ready for the start of the 2007 campaign ... if healthy is likely to regain his starting spot ... 2006 (Freshman): Earned a starting slotback berth in preseason camp and started each of the first four games of the season ... announced his presence with authority with a monster night in a season-opening win over Duquesne ... caught a 33-yard pass on the very first play of his collegiate career and scored a 51-yard touchdown on his first career carry ... went on to rush for 126 yards on only nine carries ... earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week, Diversified Information Technologies Player of the Game and Lewisburg Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Week honors for that effort ... became the first Bucknell freshman to rush for 100 yards in a season opener since Rich Lemon in 1993 ... season came to a premature end in the Richmond game in week four, when he caught a 27-yard pass out of the backfield but tore his ACL on the play ... rushed for 144 yards on only 13 carries on the season, an average of 11.1 yards per carry ... UMS-WRIGHT HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times in track, three times in football and once in basketball at UMS-Wright Prep School in Mobile ... helped lead football team to a 2005 4A state championship under coach Terry Curtis ... ran for two TDs in state championship game as team capped a 15-0 season ... team's leading rusher with 1,196 yards ... won team's Bruce Filipinni Award ... won state championship and broke state record in 55-meter dash ... team won four track and field state titles ...
