LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell senior golfer Stuart Lindgren (Richfield, Minn./Richfield) has been named the Damon's Bison Athlete of the Week after registering his first collegiate victory at the Bucknell Invitational over the weekend.

Lindgren's 1-over-par 211 was good for a one-shot victory over Rider's Tyler Brewington and helped lift the Bison to the team title at this event for the third time in the last five years.

Lindgren, whose career low entering the weekend was 75, opened with a 1-under 69 on Friday morning. That score helped Bucknell to a school-record team score of 1-under 279, breaking the previous team mark by two shots.

He followed with an even-par 70 in the afternoon on Friday, then finished up with a 72 to claim medalist honors.

Lindgren, who now sports an excellent 72.8 average through five fall rounds, will be back in action next Sunday and Monday at St. Bonaventure's Leo Keenan Invitational.
