LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Sophomore attackman Austin Winter (Boonton Twp., N.J./Mountain Lakes) earned his second straight First Team All-Patriot League citation and three other members of the Bucknell men's lacrosse team earned second-team honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Juniors Nick Sciubba (Sea Cliff, N.Y./Salisbury School), Billy Haire (Darien, Conn./Darien) and Perry Menzies (Upperco, Md./Hereford), each an all-league pick in 2007 as well, garnered second-team accolades.

Winter, the 2007 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, is enjoying another big year this spring. Entering this weekend's Patriot League Tournament he is the league's leading scorer with 44 points in 13 games, and his 27 assists are also the most in the conference.

The 6'4" attackman has a point in every game in his career, and in 2008 he has multiple points in 11 of 13 games. He registered a career-high nine points on three goals and six assists in a 12-10 win over Towson, and he also had six-point games against Ohio State and Lehigh. His 56 career assists already rank ninth on Bucknell's all-time list.

Winter is the first Bison to earn First Team All-Patriot League honors as both a freshman and sophomore.

Sciubba, who transferred to Bucknell from Massachusetts prior to the 2007 season, has now been a Second-Team All-Patriot League pick in each of his first two seasons with the Orange & Blue. Sciubba has a 9-3 record and ranks second in the Patriot League with a 7.21 goals-against average. He has stopped 57.3 percent of the shots on target and is averaging 8.8 saves per game.

Haire was a first-team pick last season and made the second team in 2008 after spearheading a Bucknell defense that allows only 7.4 goals per game, third-best in the Patriot League. Regularly assigned to the opposition's best attackman, Haire is Bucknell's ground ball leader with 42, a new career high. The Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on March 13, Haire has started every one of the team's 42 games over the last three seasons.

Menzies repeats as a second-team all-conference performer despite being slowed by injury throughout the fall and against at mid-season. Still, he has nine goals and an assist on the year. Menzies possesses one of the hardest shots in the league and is a threat to score from anywhere. He had two goals against Colgate on Saturday, both coming from long range.

Bucknell finished the regular season with a 9-4 overall record, 4-2 in the Patriot League. The Bison will be the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and will take on top-seeded and tourney-host Army in the first round on Friday at 4 p.m.
