2005-06: [Indoors] -- Won the weight throw at the Bucknell Heptagonal (58-4) and at the Bucknell Winter Classic (60-3 1/4), came in third on two occasions ... his throw from the Bucknell Winter Classic was a personal record and ranks second in Bucknell history ... captured the Patriot League championship in the weight throw, earning first team All-League honors with a mark of 56-10 3/4 ... took 10th in the event at the IC4A Championships (56-8 1/2) ... set a personal best in the shot put at the Bison Opener (43-9) ... placed 12th in the shot put at the league championship meet (39-5). [Outdoors] -- Took second in the hammer throw at the Jim Taylor Invitational (171-5) ... Qualified for the NCAA Eastern Regional meet, logging a personal best in the hammer with a third-place throw of 182-8 at the Bison Outdoor Classic, good for sixth on Bucknell's all-time top-10 list ... scored for the Bison at the Patriot League Championships, taking fourth in the hammer (168-9) ... placed 22nd at the IC4A Championships (168-0) and 25th at the NCAA Regional (165-1). 2004-05: [Indoors] -- Season-best mark in the weight throw came at the Bison Opener where he finished ninth with a throw of 41-5 ... recorded a season best in the shot put at the Bison Open (43-8) where he finished 18th. [Outdoors] -- Posted a season best mark in the hammer at the Patriot League Championships, where he finished 14th with a throw of 144-2 ... also competed in the shot put at the league meet (39-10, 16th) ... recorded a personal best in the shot put at the Bucknell Five-Way with a mark of 43-2 3/4. Personal: Son of Dan and Marcia Hoffman ... graduate of Lewisburg High School, where he lettered in football, track and field, tennis and basketball ... was district champion in the shot put, the 100 and the 4x100 relay ... transferred to Bucknell from St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. ... geology major. |
