The traveling party, which consisted of the team, coaches, administrators, band and cheerleaders left from in front of the Kenneth Langone Athletic Center at approximately 1:45 p.m.

After a short bus trip to Williamsport, the traveling party boarded its charter flight to Norfolk and touched down in Virginia late in the afternoon. The team spent Friday evening meeting and preparing for Sunday's game with North Carolina. The Bison, seeded 16th in the New Orleans Regional, will face the top-seeded Tar Heels Sunday at 12 p.m. in the first-round NCAA Tournament game. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Bucknell (16-15) won the Patriot League Tournament to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels (30-2) won the ACC Tournament and enters the NCAA Tournament on a 13-game winning streak.

Saturday will mark the team's first full day in Norfolk. Included in the team's itinerary is a morning press conference as well as an open practice at Old Dominion's Ted Constant Convocation Center.
