  Amanda Faust

Amanda Faust

Player Profile

Class:
Junior

Hometown:
Kingston, Pa.

High School:
Wyoming Valley West

Position:
Defender

According to Head Coach Heather Lewis: "Without hesitation, I can say that Amanda has the potential to be one of the finest hockey players to not only come through the Bison program but to compete in the Patriot League. Her ability to directly influence the outcome of a game is a blessing for this team. She is as complete a player as we've had here in quite some time. I anticipate a move to the midfield this season, which will only make us that more threatening on the offensive end. But, she will continue to provide a steady and obvious presence on the defensive end."

2006: Honored as a First-Team All-Patriot League performer and first-team NFHCA Mideast Regional All-American ... started all 17 games ... was the team's leading scorer with 24 points on seven goals and 10 assists ... had the game-winning goal against Longwood ... led the team in shots (38) ... recorded 52 interceptions and 40 positive tacklesboth second best marks on the team ... had a personal best five-point effort (1g; 3a) versus Colgate ... named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week following Colgate performance ... finished in the top-10 in Patriot League statistics for points (6th), goals (10th), assists (2nd) and defensive saves (8th)

2005: Started in all 18 games, scoring six goals and assisting on six more for a total of 18 points (tied for second highest on the team) ... scored the game-winning goal against Holy Cross in overtime to secure the Bison's first regular season win against the Crusaders since 1999 ... was one of only three players to start every game in 2005 ... her 66 positive tackles led the team and her 34 interceptions were fourth highest ... had six defensive saves on the season - tied for seventh nationally ... was named the Patriot League Co-Rookie of the Year ... named second team All-Patriot League

Personal: Graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School and played for Linda Fithian ... majoring in accounting ... daughter of Charlene & Jim Ebert and John Faust
