  Steph Graf

Steph Graf

Player Profile

Class:
Junior

Hometown:
Jamison, Pa.

High School:
Central Bucks East

Position:
Defender

According to Head Coach Heather Lewis: "I truly believe Steph is one of the most underrated and overlooked players in our league. The consistency in her play goes unnoticed yet she handles one of the most difficult positions on the field with such confidence and poise that she makes it look easy. Steph is far and away our most talented defender in terms of on-ball tackling skills and off-ball field awareness. And as a testament to her versatility, she is our stopper on attacking penalty corners and post player on defensive corners. Quite honestly, we can ask Steph to assume any role, play any position and she will meet with success."

2006: A starter in all 17 games ... a second-team All-Patriot League and NFHCA Regional All-American performer ... was a four-time Defensive Player of the Week selection in the Patriot League ... registered four assists and a team-high and Patriot League-best five defensive saves ... had 31 interceptions and 25 positive tackles on the season ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ... has shown tremendous improvement in distribution and attacking skills

2005: Saw action in all 18 games, starting 16 ... scored one goal on the season ... recorded 38 interceptions and 28 positive tackles ... was recognized for her exceptional defensive play with second-team All-Patriot League honors ... her vision and game sense were excellent for a first-year starting defender ... played with such poise and consistency the entire season ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and NFHCA All-Academic Squad

Personal: Graduated from Central Bucks East High School ... played for the X-Calibur program ... brother and sister-in-law are Bucknellians ... an accounting major ... daughter of Ed & Erna Graf
