Bucknell Women's Golf Finishes 13th at First Market Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Bucknell women's golf team finished 13th among 20 teams at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Sunday at Ford's Colony Country Club. Freshman Katie Jurenovich (Warren, Ohio/Howland) was Bucknell's low finisher, tying for 17th with rounds of 78 and 82.

Bucknell shot 327 as a team in the opening round but slipped to 335 on Sunday. Kristen Phalen (Duxbury, Mass./Tabor Academy) had the low round on day two with an 80, and she and Emily Chiodo (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) finished in a tie for 36th with 36 hole totals of 164.

Also for Bucknell, Deirdre Moran (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) and Amy Loughney (Macungie, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) both totaled 177.

James Madison came from 10 shots behind to tie first-round leader Marshall after 36 holes, but the Thundering Herd took the title on the second playoff hole.

Bari-Lynn Erais of Bradley shot 70-76 to win the individual title by four shots.

The Bison will be back in action on Apr. 5-7 at the Susie Maxwell Invitational in Norman, Okla.
