Since Ben Landis took over as head coach of the Bucknell women's soccer program in 2005, the Bison have enjoyed the most successful three-year span in program history, capturing a Patriot League tournament title in 2005 followed by back-to-back regular season crowns in 2006 and 2007.

With a record of 34-22-3 at the helm for the Orange and Blue, Landis has helped the Bison surpass the 10 wins plateau in each of his first three seasons, marking the first time in program history the squad has posted 10 wins or more in three consecutive seasons.

Last season, Landis coached Bucknell to a 5-1-1 mark in league play, earning the squad the right to host the Patriot League Tournament as the regular season champions. The Bison, who finished as the tournament-runners up, posted an 11-8-1 overall mark, including a convincing 4-1 win over traditional Ivy League power Princeton. Landis also saw his squad equal the school record for shutouts with six and helped Jennifer Dervarics become the second player in program history to collect Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year honors.

In 2006, under Landis' direction, the Bucknell women's soccer program reached new heights, tying school records for wins, both overall (12) and in league play (6), and breaking the team's previous marks for best goals-against average (0.99), winning percentage (.735) and winning and unbeaten streaks after posting seven consecutive victories. The Orange and Blue also earned its first Mid-Atlantic regional rankings from both SoccerBuzz and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 2006 and posted its first win over a nationally ranked opponent, handing No. 14 Navy, which held a 19-0-0 record at the time, a 2-1 loss in the final game of the regular season to clinch a share of the Patriot League regular season title and earn the right to play host to the league tournament as the No. 1 seed.

In 2005, Landis guided Bucknell to its second Patriot League championship, one of many successes the Bison achieved under his direction in 2005. The squad more than doubled scoring production from the year before, as well.

The third head coach in the 18-year history of the women's soccer program, Landis, a 1996 graduate of Bucknell and a former assistant coach of the Bison, started his coaching career at Bucknell as a student assistant coach under Toby Lovecchio in 1994 and 1995. He continued as an assistant the following fall after graduating with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics with a minor in education.

The Breinigsville, Pa., native returned to his alma mater after two seasons as the women's soccer head coach at Dartmouth. At the helm of the program, Landis led the Big Green to a 16-12-6 record. In 2003, Dartmouth won the Ivy League with a 9-6-2 record and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament. It finished the season ranked third in the Northeast Region by the NSCAA.

Prior to taking over as head coach, Landis was an assistant at Dartmouth for three seasons. The Big Green qualified for the NCAA Tournament each year and finished the 2001 campaign ranked 13th in the country. They also finished 16th nationally in 2000 and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament in both 2000 and 2001.

Before his five-year stint at Dartmouth, and after leaving Bucknell, Landis served as an assistant coach at Lehigh University for three seasons while obtaining his master's degree in business administration.

In addition to his duties as frontman for the Bucknell women's soccer team, Landis currently serves as camp director for the Bison Soccer Camp for Girls. A member of the NSCAA since 1996, Landis worked as a marketing intern with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer in 1997.

Landis lives in Lewisburg with his wife, Lisa, and their twin five-year-old daughters, Isabella and Gabriella.
